Katipo Communications, Ltd.

Wellington, New Zealand - December 2005 to present

 

Kete Project Lead

Built all aspects of the Kete software for the Kete Horowhenua site, winner of the 2007 3M Award for Innovation in Libraries and special mention at the World Summit Awards, as well as a large percentage of subsequent Kete sites. Instrumental in setting the direction of the software development and Kete community in co-operation with clients and users. Managed and mentored Katipo’s Kete team from its inception.

 

Application Developer and System Administrator

Pioneered the use of emerging best of breed tools, such as Ruby and Ruby on Rails, for Katipo. Worked on or supported a number of client projects, such as Cafénet for Citlylink and Wellington City Council, as well as Katipo’s internal software for running the company.
